Following her victory in the Spanish International Ladies Amateur Golf Championship, Cavan’s Lisa Maguire has been named Irish Times/Irish Sports Council Sportswoman of the Month for March.
Maguire’s performances in 2011 to date, comprising of a third place at the Scottish Open, first at the Irish Close and her win in Spain, has catapulted her into the world's top 10 amateur golf rankings.
Maguire, along with her twin sister Leona, were previous monthly winners in 2007 and 2008
