Tiger Woods insists his life is 'a lot more balanced' as he prepares to compete at the Masters next month.

The former world number one took an extended break from golf following revelations about his personal life in 2009 and only returned in Augusta last April.

He finished an impressive joint fourth despite admitting he was not prepared for it.

'Yes, that was hard,' he told Living Golf's Shane O'Donoghue.

'That was very hard, because I wasn't as prepared physically or mentally for the event.'

Now, Woods insists he is in a better position psychologically.

He explained: 'We've moved on. We've moved forward. It's about getting my life in a balance and that's been good. It feels good!

'My life is certainly a lot more balanced where it needs to be now, than it was then.'
