Lorena Ochoa from Mexico, the number one ranked woman golfer in the world for the last three years, has decided to retire at the age of 28.
Ochoa won 27 times in the last six years on the LPGA Tour and her victories include the 2007 British Open at St. Andrews.
She will give a press conference outlining the reasons for her decision on Friday with family and charity commitments expected to be the main reasons given.
