Lucas Glover won the battle of the year's major champions as he took the PGA Grand Slam of Golf in Bermuda today.

The US Open champion produced a back-nine surge as Open winner Stewart Cink hit trouble on the same stretch of the par-71 Port Royal Golf Club, Glover posting a 66 to win by five strokes from Masters champion Angel Cabrera.

Glover had led Cink by two strokes after Tuesday's opening round but was reeled in by his Presidents Cup team-mate, Cink carding four birdies to be out in 32 to Glover's 34.

However, Cink's form then collapsed, the Open champion dropping shots at the 12th and 13th and running up a double bogey on the 15th.

An eagle three at the 17th made some amends but Cink then bogeyed the last to post a one-under 70, leaving him on five under par.

Glover moved back into the lead with birdies at the 10th, 11th, 15th and 17th before he too bogeyed the last to finish on 11 under par for the tournament.

Argentina's Cabrera matched Glover's 66 to add to his opening 70 and moved into second on six under.

USPGA champion YE Yang of South Korea closed with a 70 to finish in fourth place on one under.
