Voting members of Clontarf Golf Club have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a deal from Capel Development to buy the club.
The two thirds majority voting requirement was significantly exceeded.
Of the 536 votes cast, 488 were in favour of the proposal, far greater than the 357 required to secure the majority.

General Manager Arthur Cahill welcomed what he called the landslide result, saying that 91% of those present had voted in favour of the Capel offer.
Speaking after the announcement, a number of members of the golf club expressed their delight at the result.
