Rory McIlroy holds a five-shot lead at the halfway stage of the European Amateur Golf Championship in Italy.
McIlroy added a 69 to his opening 65 on the par-73 course to lie 12-under overall and five clear of Lorenzo Gagli from Italy.
Darren Crowe is the next best of the Irish. He carded a one-under 72 to end four-under overall and in a tie for 14th.
