Defending champion Rory McIlroy has beaten Paul O'Hanlon of the Curragh 3&1 to win the final of the Radisson SAS West of Ireland Championships at Rosses Point.
McIlroy, the first player since Niall Goulding in 1991 to succesfully defend the title, wrapped up the game with one hole left to play.
In a tight match, McIlroy got the upper hand midway through the back nine, with a pair of birdie threes on holes 14 and 15 to go two up, before sealing the match 3 and 1 with a par at 17.
Earlier, the Holywood 17-year-old beat England's David Horsey with a birdie at the third extra hole in a thrilling semi-final at the County Sligo Golf Club.
