Seve Ballesteros has finalised his team for the inaugural Royal Trophy in Bangkok from January 7-8.

Irish duo Graeme McDowell and Paul McGinley join England's Nick Faldo, Kenneth Ferrie and David Howell, Swede Henrik Stensond, Ryder Cup captain Ian Woosnam and Denmark's Thomas Bjorn in the eight-man European team to take on Asia.

The Ryder Cup-style tournament sees the two teams competing in a series of 16 matches involving foursomes, fourballs and singles.

Asia's challenge will be led by Asian Tour Order of Merit winner Thaworn Wiratchant and double European Tour winner Thongchai Jaidee.

"In all, we are taking eight truly outstanding golfers to Thailand and I'm sure Europe will provide Asia with a very strong challenge in the inaugural Royal Trophy," Ballesteros said.

Asia: Thaworn Wiratchant (Tha), Thongchai Jaidee (Tha), Jyoti Randhawa (Ind), Yasuharu Imano (Jpn), Keiichiro Fukabori (Jpn), SK Ho (Kor), Arjun Atwal (Ind), Lian-Wei Zhang (Chi).
