Ireland's remaining three competitors failed to make any progress up the field after round three of the European Qualifying School Final Stage in San Roque in Spain.

John Kelly fired a 75 and is now eight-over-par and a tie for 98th place, while Eamon Brady had a third round 78 and is on 10-over and tied 112th.

Former Ryder Cup hero Philip Walton returned on 79 to fall to 15-over after the three rounds and tied for 135th place.

England's Tom Whitehouse leads the way going into round four on eight-under par.
