Retief Goosen is the European tour's Golfer of the Month for September after winning back-to-back titles in China and Germany and then being leading points-scorer for the International team in the Presidents Cup in America.
Goosen, currently third on the Order of Merit, cruised to an emphatic wire-to-wire victory in the Volkswagen Masters-China before returning to Europe to land the Linde German Masters with a one-stroke victory.
At the Presidents Cup his four-and-a-half points out of five included a singles win over Tiger Woods.
The South African saw off some stiff competition to collect the September Award, most notably from Scotland's Colin Montgomerie, who ended a 19-month barren spell by capturing his 29th European Tour title at the dunhill links championship one week after captaining Great Britain and Ireland to victory over Continental Europe in the Seve Trophy.
Also considered were Michael Campbell of New Zealand, who claimed the HSBC World Match Play Championship and the £1million winner's cheque at Wentworth, and Spain's Sergio Garcia, winner of the Omega European Masters title in Switzerland.
