Rory McIlroy today became the youngest winner in the history of the West of Ireland Championship when he beat David Finn by 2 and 1 at Rosses Point, Co Sligo.
The prodigious Holywood 15-year-old, who has already represented Europe in the Junior Ryder Cup, edged out the Mallow jeweller in a classic encounter.
