Adam Scott captured his second PGA Tour win of the season overnight after equalling the tournament scoring record in a four-shot victory at the Booz Allen Classic in Potomac, Maryland. The 23-year-old Australian closed with a three under par 68 to finish with a 72 hole total of 21 under-par 263. He matched the tournament record set by Billy Andrade and Jeff Sluman at the 1991 Kemper Open.
Charles Howell III made a late charge but settled for second place at 17 under on 267 after a closing round of 65. Defending champion Rory Sabbatini, of South Africa, finished with a 66 to claim third at 15 under on 269.
