Two Irish players have survived into the third round of the British Amateur Championship at St Andrews.
Gareth Maybin of Ballyclare beat fellow Irish international Darren Crowe by one hole in the afternoon second round match and will play Australian Michael Sim in the last 32 tomorrow morning.
And Micheal McGeady of the Northwest club in Buncrana won his second round match by two holes against America's Korey Mahoney and McGeady will play Germany's Florian Flitsch in the third round in the morning.
Silgo's Sean McTernan lost his second round match narrowly by one hole to Scotland's Eric Ramsey having defeated Walker Cup player Michael Skelton in round one this morning.
