Ireland's Michael Hoey has secured third spot in the Challenge Tour Kenya Open in Nairobi.

Hoey swept through the field on the final day with a four under par 66 to tie England's Paul Dwyer in third spot, three shots behind the eventual winner.

Zimbabwe's Marc Cayeux won the event on the first extra hole of the play-off from Leif Westerberg of Sweden after both finished on ten under par.

Next best of the Irish was Colm Moriarty tied in 19th and level par for the four rounds after a final round of 70.

Justin Kehoe and David Higgins were tied for 36th having both finished four over par.
