European Challenge Tour players who win three tournaments during the 2004 season will gain automatic and immediate promotion to the European Tour. Since 1992, 11 players have claimed three victories in one season and all finished inside the top 10 of the Challenge Tour rankings to earn their card on the main tour for the following year. However, the new system gives them an immediate opportunity to step up to the next level.
