Irish team going well at European Championships.

Ireland have got off to the perfect start at the European Amateur Team Championships in the Hague.

The six man team lead after the first of two rounds of qualifying. At this stage, the Irish are already looking good to win the championship for the first time since 1987.

The top eight teams qualify for the top flight of matchplay and Ireland's fierce rivals Scotland and England are in 12th and 14th position. Justin Kehoe fired a best of the day 66 yesterday.
