Fox wins AIB Amatuer Open

On 6 under par Portmarnock's Noel Fox won the AIB Amatuer Open at Royal Dublin, but only after a late scare over the back nine of his final round.

Fox was 5 shots clear at the start of play and increased that lead to 8 after 3 holes but in the end Fox held out for a two stroke victory over Stuart Manley of Wales.

City of Derry's Micheal McGeady was next best of the home players well down the order on one-over-par.
