Harrington holds two-shot lead

Dublin's Padraig Harrington held a two-shot lead after the second round of the Players Championship was completed today. Darkness held up play on Friday, forcing 27 players to return to the Stadium Course at Sawgrass early on Saturday.

Harrington, on nine-under-par 135, leads former PGA champion Davis Love III, defending Players champion Craig Perks of New Zealand and Skip Kendall. Chad Campbell was the only player among the 27 to move into the top 10 after a six-under-par 66 propelled him into a tie for fifth on six-under 138 with Jay Haas, Rocco Mediate, former U.S. Masters champion Fred Couples and Australia's Adam Scott.

The field for the third round will tee off in threesomes later this evening in an attempt to get the tournament back on schedule. A weather delay in Thursday's opening round affected the completion of play on that day and on Friday.
