Englands David Howell leads in the clubhouse after day two of the sandstorm-hit Qatar Masters in Doha. Howell, shot a six under par 66 in the first round this and completed the day with a an even par 72 for a half way total of 6 under par.

Howell is joined on 6 under by Jean Francois Remsey who still has six holes to to play of his second round, after bad light forced the second round to be halted.

Meanwhile Ireland's Paul McGinley, who has already recovered from a bout of pneumonia this week, sits in joint third place on 5-under-par alongside Gregory Havret of France. McGinley will have to finish his second round tomorrow after only managing to complete 13 holes.

It started with a cold, then I had a chest infection and was coughing up blood. Luckily it's only a mild case and after giving me some anti-biotics the doctor said I would start to feel stronger each day," he said.

Among the other Irish golfers, Peter Lawrie is 1 over par and Damian McGrane is 3 over with nine holes of his second round completed. Graham Spring sits on 4 over and yet to start his second round, while Graham McDowell is 6 over par and Gary Murphy is really struggling on 11 over par.
