Ireland's top two amateurs, Colm Moriarty of Athlone and Justin Kehoe of Birr, are both six shots off the lead, on one-over-par, after round one of the Tasmanian Open - a four round strokeplay event, concluding with 36 holes on Sunday.
Recent successes have ensured that Moriarty and Kehoe are both fancied to make this year's Walker Cup team.
