Des Smyth picked up in the region of $120,000, the biggest pay-check of his entire career after finishing second on his debut on the 0ver 50s champions Tour in Florida. He shared second place on 11 under par with Tom Watson in the ACE Classic, three behind the winner Vicente Fernandez of Argentina. Smyth birdied 5 of the final six holes in a closing round of 66.
