Welsh Ryder Cup hero Phillip Price has failed in his bid to win a US Tour card for next season. Price withdrew from the final round of the pre-qualifying event in Florida. He had been lying 56th with 18 holes to play and only 21 places in the school final next month were on offer.
Swede Carl Pettersson made it through in joint second place and England's John Morgan, a professional for only seven months, was joint ninth after a closing 70 for a 13 under par total of 275. The 24-year-old survived with just one stroke to spare.
