Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus defeated Sergio Garcia and Lee Trevino 3 and 2 in the made-for-television "Battle of Bighorn" 18-hole better-ball match yesterday. Woods, 26, and Nicklaus, 62, split $1.2 million while 22-year-old Garcia and 62-year-old Trevino earned $250,000 apiece at the Bighorn Golf Club.
Woods, the U.S. Masters and U.S. Open champion was in good form all day, posting nine birdies in 16 holes.
