Australians Peter O'Malley and Ed Stedman and Sweden's Richard Johnson share the lead on four under par after the first round of the South Australian Open in Adelaide. The trio shot 68s to lead by one stroke from American Bryce Molder and New Zealander Richard Lee.
Peter O'Malley defeated Tiger Woods in the first round of the World Match Play Championship a fortnight ago and after today's first round he said he has been lifted by his recent performances. "Obviously playing well against those guys gives you a bit more confidence. If I missed the fairway I was only just off it, you've just got to keep it in play out there," he said.
