Tiger Woods has confirmed he will participate in this week's Genuity Championship at Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Florida. This will be only the second time the world number one has played in the event.
Other top ten players who will join Woods at the event are David Duval, Sergio Garcia, Ernie Els and David Toms. Vijay Singh and Davis Love III will also take part.
"It's a tournament director's dream to have Tiger play in their event, and we are thrilled that he will top off an already outstanding field here. His presence, along with the rest of the PGA Tour stars who'll also be playing, will make the 2002 Geunity Championship a tournament people will be talking about for a long time," said tournament director Tom Neville.
Woods previously appeared at the Genuity Championship in 1998 when he finished tied for ninth place.
