Woods aiming even higher for 2002

Tiger Woods, named US Tour Player of the Year for the 3rd year in a row, has set himself even loftier targets for 2002. The world number one became the first player to hold all four majors at the same time with his triumph in the US Masters in April but he now wants to take his game to a higher level.

"I look forward next year to building upon what I have accomplished in the past several years," he said after winning the U.S. Player of the Year award for the fourth time in five years. Woods will return to tournament competition at the US Tour's season-opening Mercedes Championships, which starts in Hawaii on January 3.
