Tiger Woods has won the PGA Grand Slam of Golf title for the fourth year in a row with a three-shot victory over David Toms at the Poipu Bay Golf Club in Hawaii. Woods finished the unofficial 36-hole event, which gathers the winners of the four major championships, at 12-under par 132.
The world number one shot a 67 on the opening day and began the second round one stroke behind US Open winner Retief Goosen, before finishing off with a 7-under-par. Goosen had to make do with a one-under 71 to finish third - five shots behind Woods. The other player in the field was David Duval, who finished 16 shots off the pace at four over par on 148.
Woods captured five titles in 2001 along with another money title and his third straight Player of the Year award. "It's always a privilege to come here because it's an honor to play in a tournament in which you're playing with other major championship winners. I look forward to it. I get up for it. I get pretty excited about it, to play with these guys," said Woods.
