McGinley, Lawrie share lead in Dunhill Championship

Ireland's Paul McGinley and Scotland's Paul Lawrie share the lead after the weather-delayed third round of the Dunhill Links Championship was finally completed this afternoon. The two are on 14 under par, a single shot ahead of two-time US Open winner Ernie Els.

McGinley kept his place at the top of the leaderboard thanks to a one under par 71 around the difficult Carnoustie links. Lawrie, looking for his first victory since winning the Open in 1999, shot a brilliant 9 under 63 around St Andrews to join the Irishman.

The $5 million tournament has already been forced to finish on Monday because of the fog and rain which have plagued the first three days. The fourth and final round will commence - weather permitting - at 9am at St Andrews tomorrow.
