Darren Clarke finished three shots off the leader, Anthony Wall, after the first round of the Volvo Scandinavian Masters in Malmo today. The Dungannon man shot a 66 and didn't drop a single stroke during the round.
Londoner Anthony Wall held a three-shot lead after a brilliant nine-under-par 63, one shot outside the course record, with Clarke sharing second on –6 alongside Colin Montgomerie, Denmark's Soren Hansen and Sweden's Peter Hedblom.
David Higgins was less fortunate, shooting a five-over-par 77 that will leave him struggling to make the cut tomorrow.
