Ireland's Paddy Gribben leads the Irish charge after the belated completion of the rain-delayed second round of the Novotel Perrier French Open, in Lyon. Gribben lies three shots adrift of overnight leader Marc Farry following his second 68 of the tournament to leave him on four-under-par.
Leader Farry, from France, takes a one shot lead into tomorrow's third round, with compatriot Gregory Havret and Denmark's Anders Hansen sharing second one stroke further back. The players were up at the crack of dawn this morning to prepare for an 8am start, after continual rain brought an early end to play on Friday evening. But that downpour meant the Sangliers course in Lyon was unplayable this morning, and the start was put back initially until noon and then 3pm to the frustration of players and spectators.
Jose Maria Olazabel remains on course for his 19th European Tour title with a one-under-par 69 to share fourth place with another seven players. England's Paul Eales, Roger Winchester, Daren Lee, Mark Davis and Gary Evans, South African Desvonde Botes, and Swede Anders Forsbrand are all on five under.
Gary Murphy, Philip Walton and Paul McGinley have made the cut on one under, but Northern Ireland's Ronan Rafferty is on his way home after a round of 71 left him on one-over at the half-way stage.
