Irish golfer Darren Clarke could earn himself £2m if he manages to capture the Masters title this week or any other of golf's majors over the next 10 years. Clarke has reportedly signed a significant sponsorship deal with the clothing company Donnay for the next decade and if he wins any of golf's majors in this time, he will be rewarded with a £2m bonus.
"I hope I can take the next big step to achieve a major victory. This deal will take me through my thirties, which are often the most productive for a professional golfer, and into my early forties. It is fantastic to have this kind of backing over such a long period of time. Winning a major is not about the money, but the bonus would certainly be the icing on the cake," he said.
