Fourteen Irish golfers are to benefit from grants handed out by the Team Ireland Golf Trust it was announced today. A total of £190,000 is to be awarded to various Irish golfers, male and female, who are trying to make their way in the sport. The Team Ireland Golf Trust is funded by the Sports Council of Ireland, Bord Fáilte and several top companies in the private sector.
Five players are to receive the top grant of £20,000. They are David Higgins, Peter Lawrie, Keith Nolan, Gary Murphy and Aideen Rogers.
