Three of the country's top amateurs have been invited to take part in this years Millennium Murphy's Irish Open at Ballybunion. Irish Close champion, Ciaran McMonagle, West of Ireland winner, Eamon Brady and Mark Murphy, from Waterville in the host county, will tee up alongside the likes of Colin Montgomerie, Sergio Garcia, Darren Clarke and the cream of Europe's Tour pro's. The Irish Open begins on Thursday the 29th of June.
Some other notable amateurs playing in this year's event include former US amateur champion, Matt Kuchar, and Australian prodigy, Aaron Baddely.
