Golf: Coles makes it six decades of triumph

Neil Coles achieved something very special today when he became the first golfer in history to win a professional event in six different decades when he won the Jersey Seniors Open at La Moye. Coles, aged 65 years and 10 months, also shattered his own record as the oldest man ever to win on the European Seniors Tour.

The Englishman started his final round one shot ahead of America's Jerry Bruner and Ray Carrasco and he finished with a 2-under par 70 for a 9-under winning aggregate of 209, to be three shots clear of Bruner and a further shot of Carrasco. He won £15,290.
