Wicklow are on the hunt for a new manager after Colin Kelly tonight resigned just over four months in charge, citing "work commitments."
The Wicklow GAA management committee released a statement this evening, confirming the news and thanking the Louth native for his efforts.
"A huge thanks to Colin for working unbelievably hard since taking on the role. I know that everyone in Wicklow GAA wishes Colin every future success," the county management committee said in a statement.
Kelly, who both played and managed his native county, was appointed as Davy Burke's successor in Wicklow last October but has presided over just four matches in their Allianz League Division 3 campaign.
Wicklow have endured a difficult start in 2022, with three losses and a draw in their opening four games, currently lying bottom of the Division 3 table.
In their statement, Wicklow GAA Management Committee said they would meet to discuss the hiring of Kelly's successor for the remainder of the season.
