The four Tyrone players who were sent off in the recent Allianz League match against Armagh will have their appeal heard at a Croke Park hearing this evening.
Red Hand skipper Padraig Hampsey confirmed the news of the hearing when speaking to the media at the launch of new Irish protein cookie brand 'In the Zone', a joint partnership between the GAA and the GPA.
Hampsey, along with Michael McKernan, Peter Harte and Kieran McGeary were sent off late on by referee David Gough at the Athletic Grounds on 6 February. Armagh's Greg McCabe also saw red in the melee.
When asked whether he'd be available for Tyrone's next league against Tyrone on Sunday next, Hampsey replied: "I'm not too sure. We'll find out more tonight. Look, we're hoping maybe to see how things go there. Hopefully we can get off with the suspensions.
"I've never been involved in one so I'm not too sure what goes on but the players will be down tonight and we'll see what we're dealt with."

On the late flare-up which marred a convincing derby win for Armagh, the Coalisland clubman did admit that things did "get out of control".
"I suppose it's a derby game with two Ulster teams, two neighbouring counties so I just feel that things maybe got out of control. It's one we're not proud of ourselves as a county and as players but look, I don't think there was much really in it. For my own self, there wasn't much in it to be honest. But look, it happened and we're not proud of what happened."
Tyrone have just one point from their opening two league games but Hampsey feels the improved second-half showing against Armagh is a sign that the side is rediscovering their groove.
"I suppose coming off the back of the holiday, I feel we're maybe a couple of weeks behind other teams but we're getting up to pace again.
"I know our first-half performance against Armagh wasn't that good but I think our second-half performance was, you know, I thought the lads performed well and we did well enough to get it back to four points but unfortunately we couldn't get the win.
"We're getting up to speed again and as I mentioned before with the week break and then back in now against Kildare on Sunday, hopefully we can get the win."
