Cork GAA will host just one Munster Hurling Championship match in Páirc Uí Chaoimh this summer in order to accommodate concerts by singer Ed Sheeran.

The stadium cost €96m to redevelop, which was more than €17.5m over initial costs, and is being used for concerts to increase revenues.

Much of the funding for the over-budget stadium came from GAA and government coffers and has brought significant debt on the Cork board.

A decision has been taken by Cork GAA that after the Limerick clash in the Munster SHC on 17 April, the stadium will switch to "concert mode".

Cork's provincial hurling game with Clare on 30 April will take place in Semple Stadium following agreement with the Munster Council, Tipperary County Board and Clare County board

The Munster SFC semi-final between Cork and Kerry will take place at Páirc Uí Rinn on Saturday 7 May.

Cork say the management of both the hurling and football teams have been consulted throughout the process of arranging the fixtures.

Munster GAA have also confirmed that Round 3 and 4 of this year's SHC will be swapped with the original Round 4 fixtures now taking place over two weekends ending - 1 May and 8 May - while the original Round 3 fixtures will take place on week ending 15 May. Fixtures for Rounds 1, 2 and 5 remain unchanged. Times for all fixtures will be confirmed in due course.

The changes to the hurling fixtures have resulted in changes for the Munster SFC fixtures.
