The O'Byrne Cup clash between Wicklow and Meath has been called off due to injuries and Covid close contacts in the Garden County squad.
The match, which was set for Saturday in Bray, is unlikely to be refixed due to the already tight schedule for the competition, with games twice weekly until the final on 22 January.
Assuming it is not rescheduled, Meath would be awarded the points.
Wicklow are due to host Wexford on Wednesday 12 January. The Model men and Laois are the other teams in Group 2 of the pre-season provincial football competition - they and seven other Leinster counties are all scheduled to play their first games of the season on Saturday.
Last Sunday, the McGrath Cup match between Clare and Waterford became the first Covid postponement of the 2022 inter-county campaign.
That competition begins belatedly tonight as Jack O'Connor's Kerry host Limerick in Tralee.
