Former Louth manager Colin Kelly has been ratified as the boss of the Wicklow football team following a county board meeting.
Kelly will succeed Davy Burke, who vacated the role in August after two seasons at the helm. The Kildare native became the youngest ever senior inter-county manager when he was appointed in 2019.
There are parallels between Kelly and the man he replaces. Both enjoyed success in the league, but failed to replicate that good early season form in the championship.
Kelly guided the Wee County to back-to-back promotions between 2015 and 2017, but his team struggled to make inroads in the championship in his three years in charge, with his tenure eventually ending in a qualifier defeat to Longford that summer.
Meanwhile, Eamonn Scallan will continue in his position as manager of the county's hurlers for a third season.
