Cavan's Joe McQuillan will referee Saturday week's All-Ireland SFC final between Tyrone and Mayo at Croke Park.

The GAA have confirmed that the Kill Shamrocks clubman will take charge of the showpiece game for the fourth time. McQuillan has previously refereed the 2011 Dublin v Kerry decider, and the two Dublin v Mayo collisions in 2013 and 2017.

This summer he has officiated the Limerick v Waterford Munster SFC match and the Connacht SFC semi-final between Roscommon and Galway, as well as the Ulster SFC semi-final meeting of Donegal and Tyrone.

His umpires will be fellow Kill Shamrocks men Ciaran Brady and TP Gray; Jimmy Galligan (Killygarry); and Mickey Lee (Drumalee). Kildare's Brendan Cawley is linesman, with Down's Ciaran Branagan acting as the sideline official.

David Gough has been named as the standby referee.
