David Herity is set to remain in charge of the Kildare hurlers for another three years.
Kildare GAA said that a management committee proposal to extend the Kilkenny native's term will go before a meeting of the full county board next month.
"Both Kildare GAA & David are looking forward to further maximising the potential of our talented group of players within the county in the coming years," said a statement on social media.
The five-time All-Ireland winning goalkeeper has managed Kildare for the last three seasons and led them to a Christy Ring Cup title in 2020.
Kildare were relegated back to the Christy Ring after losing their three Joe McDonagh Cup games this summer but won Division 2B of the Allianz Hurling League and were promoted to 2A for next year.
