Westport GAA has extended its best wishes to their player Eoghan McLaughlin today.
The club tweeted that the Mayo defender - who suffered a serious injury against Dublin last night - had undergone an operation on his jaw but later issued an updated tweet simply wishing the classy defender a quick recovery.
"We look forward to seeing Eoghan back in the green & red of Mayo and blue of Westport soon," the Westport tweet read.
If significantly injured, McLaughlin is likely to miss out on an All-Ireland final against either Kerry or Tyrone.
That Kerry and Tyrone semi final will take place on August 28th with the final taking place on 11 September.
All of us in Westport GAA wish Eoghan a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him in the Green & Red and blue of Westport in the near future #ONECLUBWESTPORT pic.twitter.com/Az0heRyywJ
