Wicklow will face Offaly in the semi-final of the Christy Ring Cup after they suffered a 2-23 to 0-19 loss to Derry at Owenbeg.

Odhran McKeever's 2-02 tally was crucial for the Oakleaf County, and the Ulster side will now face the winner of the quarter-final tie between Sligo and Roscommon in the last four.

The first half was a tight affair with Derry leading 0-12 to 0-11 at the break, but they took control from there to ease to a 10-point win.

In the Nicky Rackard Cup, Donegal secured a semi-final meeting, but not after a real challenge from Leitrim. In the end Mickey McCann’s side prevailed on a 1-27 to 4-10 scoreline at Avantcard Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada.

The Connacht side led 3-05 to 0-10 at the break and with Ronan McDermott sent off on a straight red card, things were looking bleak for the Tir Chonaill side.

However they were in sensational form in the second half as they hit 1-17 with Declan Coulter scoring their goal from a penalty. Leitrim now meet Armagh in the quarter-final.

A Joe O’Brien free in the 77th minute secured Longford their spot in the Lory Meagher semi-finals following a 1-16 to 0-19 draw with Monaghan in Inniskeen.

It was O’Brien who scored the only goal of the game late in the first half but it looked like they were for the quarter-finals as Monaghan led late on. However, the marksman kept his nerve to secure the point they needed. Monaghan now meet Fermanagh for a place in the last four.
