Ailish Considine has agreed a one-year extension to her contract with Adelaide Crows in the AFLW.

The news comes after an injury-interrupted campaign where she suffered concussion and then a dog bite, forcing the Co Clare native to miss a couple of games in the Crows' march to the Grand Final.

On recovering, Considine found it hard to force her way back into the side, but an injury to club captain Chelsea Randall saw her recalled for the decider against the Brisbane Lions, a game that saw the latter team prevail by 18 points.

The RTÉ columnist has been with the Crows since 2018 and was on the side that won the Premiership Grand Final a year later.
