The Wexford County Board is to install CCTV cameras at its county grounds in St Patrick's Park, Enniscorthy in response to ongoing vandalism at the venue.
A Management Committee meeting was told on Tuesday night that the dressing rooms have been broken into, the windows broken and the scoreboard hut badly damaged after being set on fire. There will be a significant cost to repair the damage.
The county board said that gardaí are aware of the issues and are now visiting the pitch several times a day as part of their patrolling duties.
