Orla O'Dwyer kicked a behind as the Brisbane Lions ended Collingwood Magpies' winning start to the AFLW Premiership season.

The game was moved with just 24 hours' notice due to ongoing Covid-19 conditions in Australia, meaning that the Lions had to travel for the fixture. But it didn't impact them as they inflicted a first defeat of the season on the Magpies on a 4.11 (35) to 4.8 (32) scoreline.

Tipperary native O'Dwyer wasn't the only Irish player to get on the scoresheet, with Cavan's Aishling Sheridan ending the game as top scorer after hitting two goals for the vanquished Magpies.

The result leaves three clubs - two of which were involved in that game - with a 6-1 win-loss ratio.

Fremantle Dockers are the other side after their four-point victory over Carlton Blues today, winning by 6.9 (45) to 6.5 (41).
