Gerry Fahy has been ratified as the new manager of the Galway ladies football side, succeeding Tim Rabbitt in the role.
Fahy was part of Rabbitt's backroom team in 2020, as the Connacht county reached the All-Ireland semi-final. The new men at the helm brings a wealth of experience, having being involved with the Galway men's squad in 1997, before guiding to NUIG to Sigerson Cup success in 2003.
After that came a spell in charge of Offaly, where a Division 2 league title was won in 2004.
In 2017, Fahy was over the Galway U21s, as they claimed provincial honours.
