This year's All-Ireland Under-20 Football final between Dublin and Galway will be played as a curtain-raiser to the senior final, the GAA confirmed today.

Originally due to take place in Portlaoise at the end of October, the U20 final was postponed when the country's Covid-19 restrictions were elevated.

However, with the lifting of the restrictions, the underage competitions have been given the go-ahead and the match, which in the event of a draw would go to extra-time and penalties, will throw in at Croke Park on 19 December at 2.30pm, with the senior decider between the winners of this weekend's semi-finals on at 5pm.

Holders Dublin face Cavan on Saturday, while Mayo meet Tipperary on Sunday.
