Padraic Davis has been reappointed Longford senior football manager for another two years.
Davis, one of the county's best ever footballers, has been in charge of his native county since September 2018.
At a meeting of the county executive tonight, the ex-forward – and his backroom team of Paul Barden, Donal Ledwith and former Galway player John Donnellan – were all given a two-year extension, keeping them in charge until the end of the 2022 season.
Other members of the backroom team, nutritionist Kate McDaid and strength and conditioning coach Alan Malone have been working closely with Davis and are expected to continue in their roles.
Longford beat Louth in their opening Leinster SFC game but were then narrowly defeated by Laois, losing by two points despite taking a healthy early lead.
In the Allianz League they won three games in Division Three, drew one, and finished with seven points.
