Limerick corner-forward Aaron Gillane is recovering at home after picking up an injury in yesterday's All-Ireland semi-final victory over Galway.
The Patrickswell inside-forward spent the night in hospital in Dublin for observation.
Gillane was withdrawn late on in Sunday's win following a heavy collision with Galway centre-back Gearoid McInerney.
The Limerick county board have said the attacker had suffered a "heavy blow to the back".
He was able to take part in the on-pitch celebrations after the final whistle but reported feeling unwell in the dressing room and was taken to hospital.
The county board have now confirmed that he is recovering at home.
Gillane struck 0-06 (0-05 from frees) as Limerick ground out a three-point win over Galway in yesterday's semi-final.
They will now meet Waterford in the decider on 13 December.
